103: Autism Rocks and Rolls with Sam Mitchell

Sam Mitchell approached me, and was just so dynamic that I had to have him on the podcast to talk about Autism and his podcast Autism Rocks and Rolls, and you'll see why here!

I definitely couldn't do any better putting Sam into words, so I'm copying these from his initial email:
"I am a high-functioning human being on the autism spectrum, but have a mission: to show people that I am not broken, do not need to be fixed, there is no normal in this world, and I am successful, with autism. I want to celebrate the successes of all people. I embrace who I am and feel as though everyone should do the same."
And this: "I also am a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, sell merchandise, have several sponsors, sell ad space, am writer and blogger, and love to promote my podcast and business. I also have a published TED Talk called Souled Structure."

I loved talking with Sam, and learning all about the fascinating guests he's had on his podcast, and the great things he's doing with it. He is definitely not broken; he's an inspration - and he's a college student!

Here's the message he wanted everyone to leave with from our conversation: "You can be successful no matter what condition or disability you have." And that seems very plain to me-
